Schoodic Woods is a special place. Love the hiking paths and the Schoodic loop drive. The neighboring towns are welcoming. This campground with be a regular stay for us.

Beautiful park, very quiet, lots of trails to hike, and the park loop makes for a nice biking experience. We bikes from the campground to the point and spent some time on the rocks watching and listening to the waves break, very relaxing. The campground RV/trailer sites are somewhat private thanks to all the trees and vegetation there. They should clean the fire pits better, the ash in ours must have been 5-6 inches deep, which makes it more difficult to start a fire. The brief encounters we had with the rangers were pleasant. Had lunch on the porch at J. M. Gerris excellent clam chowder and blueberry pie, probably the highlight of my trip!

This is by far the best of the three campgrounds in Acadia if you camp with an RV.

I have been going to Maine for eighty years. Schoodic is what I think of when I think, Maine should be. Salt air, balsam fir, ledges, crashing surf, and NO commercialize. A GREAT campground and family experience. Hope to see you next year

The campground is well maintained with trails through the woods and to the bay. The free bus makes it easy to explore the rest of the peninsula.

Quite possibly the nicest campground we have ever been. Huge sites with privacy between each.

We really loved the area because it was not crowded or commercialized. The staff/rangers were very helpful.

We cannot wait to be able to book again!
