Schoodic Woods was probably the cleanest and well maintained sites we have ever been to and we have visited a lot of campgrounds. It was close to so many great things like Bar Harbor and all the Acadia parks and trails. Theres a ton to do (or not do) near the campground itself but theres so much to explore in the area. Such a beautiful spot !

Beautiful campground with ample space. So quiet and peaceful all around. Can't wait to return

One of the best campgrounds you will encounter anywhere! The sites are spaced far enough apart to feel very private and the whole area is clean and well maintained, including the washrooms. The trail system can be accessed from the campground and affords numerous opportunities for hiking and biking. It's worth noting that much of the trail surface is pea stone and can be a little loose in places, but not a problem for a gravel or mountain bike with robust tires. The sea strongly influences the area, and temperatures, (plus fog!), can be dramatically different from one side of the point to the other, so plan accordingly when venturing out. This spot is quiet, incredibly beautiful, and perfect for those who prefer a nature-based camping experience.

A great and well maintained campgrounds. Electric and water hook ups. Very clean bathrooms. No shower. Great hiking and biking trails. Quiet. We had relatively good T mobile reception all around. Free shuttle bus to Schoodic point and Winter harbor. Buses have bike racks but due to safty concerns, no electric bikes.

Beautiful campground, quiet, pristine and the Rangers are most helpful. We would definitely return.

Wonderful campground. Sites in B loop are nice and large with vegetation providing privacy. Great hiking trails on the peninsula and the free bus transportation (dogs allowed!!) was a real perk. Winter Harbor is a nice little town to walk in.
