Perfect level site, perfect stay. The campground is beautiful with native trees & large private sites. Very well maintained & clean baths with cold water only, no showers. Our 20 amp worked well, we didnt need AC in mid Sept but used microwave, Insta-pot etc. w/no problems. WiFi was adequate. Our LTE hotspot worked well to stream. It was a a great home base to explore Acadia. We enjoyed the more peaceful vibe at Schoodic, but visited Mt. Desert often during our 2 weeks. If you book & dont go please be polite & cancel.to many open sites (no shows?) for a campground that is so hard to get into.

One of my favorite places in the country. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful. These words dont seem to fully capture the magnificence that is Schoodic but its all I have right now! :) The campground is also very quiet and relaxed a big difference from Bar Harbor. We were sad to find out that the public showers in town closed during the pandemic. Be prepared to pay $10 per person for a shower at an RV resort in town. The lack of showers is the only downside to the campground! We will continue to return.

New, clean facilities, nice campsites, quiet. Convenient access and location for hiking &/or driving around the beautiful peninsula, close to Winter Harbor and other towns for restaurants etc. Glad I visited here after staying in more crowded Mt. Desert Island.

INTERNET ACCESS DOES NOT REACH ALL SITES - NEEDS TO BE ENHANCED. STAY IN SPOT NEAR RESTROOM (A31) AND SERVICE VERY STRONG AND STAY IN A9 NO SERVICE AT ALL.

Schoodic Woods was a well designed campground with campers in mind. We appreciated the privacy between sites, the clean restrooms and the helpful staff and rangers. Loved the dark skies and the penisula/water front. I was delighted to see staff reminding campers not to park on the grass especially when there is plenty of road surface/ gravel. Keep up the good work, the campground will stay beautiful for years/decades to come!
