The camp hosts are great, same ones that were there last fall. The bathrooms in the main campsite area have flush toilets, which are much better to camp near (as we did on this trip), vs the pit toilets in the ground campsite area that we're terribly smelly during our trip last fall.

Great campground, clean, fun and close to adventure. The camp host was awesome and very helpful. Definitely a do over.

Adri was so kind and a great camp host. I have camped here before and have always had a more than amazing experience.

Stay was great nice clean camp ground just that the bathrooms had a sink but they were wrapped with a trash bag so you cant use them so no washing your hands also the bathrooms have no light in them so make sure you have a small lamp or flashlight when going to use the restroom at night but over all it was a nice stay!!!

Wonderful campground, host were very friendly. Sand dollar beach is just across the street, quiet and isolated area to enjoy. Jade cove was a few meters down the road, walkable but bushy. Bathroom kept clean daily.

Great location with spacious sites, you can see the ocean through the trees! Very easy to access Sand Dollar Beach as well. However, for $35 per night (plus an $8 reservation fee), I feel I paid a lot for little in return. For comparison: The next night I stayed in a no-frills motel in Monterey for $55 after taxes. Yes there are flush toilets, but there's some issue with the water so the sinks are out of order (bring hand sanitizer), and you have to bring your own potable water. My site #15 was on a slope, so I didn't have a flat surface for my tent. Also keep in mind: As of late December, there's still a fire ban, so no campfires allowed. Point of interest: If you're coming from the south (or feel like driving 40 minutes south), do NOT miss the Elephant Seal Vista Point near the Hearst Castle. I went around sunset and saw dozens of seals on the beach, including some pups!

Fire ban that wasn’t published on the website; only one toilet open on the campsite; and no potable water available. None of this was published on the website and the confirmation email did not mention a fire ban or lack of water. Very poor experience. Luckily none of this affected us because we brought enough water, but made for a less than ideal camping experience.
