Excellent host, very clean toilets! There were a lot of ticks unfortunately for our dogs.

This is a beautiful campground with large sites. Some walking/hiking on the bluffs over the ocean across from the campground but the trail to the beach was too eroded for us to hike with a dog. There is no potable water at the campground which should be clearer on the info online about the campground and not just in reviews. We still enjoyed the campground.

Very nice campground - appreciated the paved driveway at each site! Didnt feel like sites were on top of each other - lots of neighbors but not too close. Two bathroom buildings with flush toilets, so every site is reasonably close. The hosts were present and attentive - saw them cleaning, picking up trash, and helping sort out situations with different parties. Running water is currently contaminated, so bring plenty or expect to boil what you need. Sand Dollar Beach and Jade Cove (at least, the bluffs above) are within reasonable walking distance. The campground itself has some nice shade (though several trees have hanging branches that could use some attention.)

overall good experience, clean restrooms and attentive staff. The trees need to be better maintained, several tree limbs looked like they could fall

Everything was perfect. We had 4 campsites all we’re in close proximity. The sites are well spread out for privacy. The bathrooms were very clean but unfortunately no potable water.
The hike to the beach is close by and the beach is magnificent.

The host was friendly and helpful, the campground and facilities clean, and proximity to the ocean outstanding.

For cycling tourists, Plaskett is ideally situated between Pfieffer Big Sur and San Simeon. If needing food replenishment, or other supplies, Gorda is 3.5 miles south, but with more than a bit of climbing.

Be aware that there are no showers. And, though the restrooms flush, the sinks have no running water. Nor is there any way to charge electronic devices save solar. :)

Should we cycle this way again, we will stop at Plaskett without hesitation.

Great Campground. Host Adelaine and her partner were fantastic. Clean restrooms, good advice and friendly atmosphere.

The bathrooms were extremely clean. Big Sur is such a gorgeous location and going there when HWY 1 is closed is wonderful because the traffic is so low. Enjoy Sand Dollar Beach across the street. Bring your bikes and ride the rugged coast.

I didn’t like paying $30 for two bundles of soft wood. My firewood expenses were more than the camping fees.
