the host is very friendly. campsite is very close to a beach and a few trails. u may or may not (depending on the location of ur spot) have a very tiny view of the ocean from ur spot. none of the spots r completely flat. toilets were clean but 3 out of 8 toilets were closed (with no sign on them) and none of the toilets had water in the sink to wash ur hands.

We had a magnificent weekend camping at Plaskett Creek. Camp ground was sheltered from the wind and it ended up being a warm 70 degrees in April. One of my favorite places to camp.

This is a beautiful campground along the fabulous Pacific Coast Highway. It was a real Deja Vu for me to come back to this campground. In 1985 while a state forester, my wildland fire crew got called out to Gorda, California and Plaskett Creek got turned into a small city of a fire camp with over 2,000 firefighters staying there. half of what was burning was poison oak and over half of us came down with horrible systemic reactions (imagine that you desperately want to itch your lungs but you just can't get there. , but a doc came down from Monterey and blasted us with steroids , then we could get back on the fireline

The camp road needs maintenance. Big potholes. Some of the sites have broken pavement. The trial to the beach is about to fail and needs immediate attention!

It is still a beautiful camp and well kept. But there are some HUGE pot holes in the camp road that must be repaired. And I know the Forest Service is responsible as well but the trail down to Sand Dollar beach is on the verge of complete FAILURE. I am going to write the head of Los Padres about this.

The campground is great. The camp map at the entrance can use some care as some numbers on the map are faded.

Great campground. Beach was awesome. The sand was super soft and my kids loved getting the sand crabs!

Always beautiful and tranquil setting. Would be nice if they brought back the sinks in the bathroom for use however.

Very friendly relief host was on duty and helpful during our stay. Very nice campsite. The fire rings and BBQ needs to be cleaned of ash however as it was completely full when we arrived and never saw anyone cleaning up or emptying them when campers checked out.

Plaskett is easy to get to, the hosts are friendly and vigilant (but not nosy), the grounds are clean and the amenities are plentiful. There's not much privacy, but there are so many things to do and see in the area that you shouldn't spend all day there anyway!

Plaskett Creek is a great place to camp. Great for all types of campers, from car camping, RVs, and groups. As a car camper, my ideal spots are on the outer edges of the campground. There is ample room for a large tent, and the sites have a fire pit and picnic table. Plaskett Creek is perfect for getting away for a couple days, with beach access across Highway 1.

It was a highlight of our trip to stay at Plaskett Creek Campground. It was our second stop on the trip and we instantly felt a safe and welcoming atmosphere, our spot was perfect on an incline with a tree just next to us on the outside of the campground. The restroom facilities are very very basic, the taps were not working when we were there or the lights. This didn't dull our stay but we only stayed for one night so perhaps if longer it would have. We weren't particularly prepared with food and made the mistake of going to the restaurant close by (I can't remember the name but it had a gift shop attached) - I wouldn't recommend. Overall, we would absolutely love to return, and plan to in the future. Take a walk across the road and left for beautiful views!
