The camp host is amazing--so kind and conscientious. And the campsite is of course beautiful.

bathroom clean and spacious, good drinking water. Campground is very child and family friendly. We stayed here for 5 days and loved walking across the road to visit sand dollar beach for swimming and jade cove for rock hounding. We had a blast.

Campsite 8 had a lovely view of the beach. The walk was less than 15 minutes which made it better. The view of the stars late at night was spectacular. The camp site itself was a bit tilted but we were able to sleep fine. Being next to the host was not an issue. I did wish that they sold wood for longer but it stopped at 6:30pm. Also this place does not have a bear den. I will definitely come back but I would also love to see showeres one day. Restrooms were clean but the sinks were not usable.

Campground staff was very helpful combining a three day stay at three campsites into one campsite. Facilities are clean and the view is great!

Campground is very pleasant with green grass and large cypress and oak trees which give lots of shade. Campsites were immaculate. Trails across Hwy 1 are numerous and interesting up on the bluff, but watch out for poison oak. Trail down to Sand Dollar Beach and Jade Cove are in serious need of repair. Overall, it's a great place to camp.

Try to stay on the south side of the park if possible. The north is next to a school that runs on a loud generator.

The park other than the generator was great.

Despite the no-campfire rule, and no showers, this remains our favorite campsite along the Big Sur coast. Not too busy during the weekdays and relatively quiet except for the camp administrators’ generator that ran until 10pm and kicked back on at 4am. Sleep not too restful because of this. Booking again but away from site 8. Camp hosts were helpful and kept the grounds well maintained.

A serene campground with nice beach access and pretty views.

Could be 5 stars except there is an employee village off our site #8 (in an old part of the campground) even though everyone in the campground has to obey generator rules, this village runs a loud generator 24-7. How can this even be appropriate?

AVOID CAMPSITES 6, 7 AND 8.

My husband and I managed to make a reservation for four nights and were so excited to make the trip from San Diego. We arrived the afternoon of May 2 and was greeted by the camp host. After we set up our tent, we noticed a continuous noise coming from the adjacent property that was part of park's administration. It sounded like a running generator.

Campground policy regarding generators is clear...you can only operate from 10 am to 6 pm. We assumed that the generator will shutoff soon after 6 pm. IT DID NOT! In fact, it was running whole night until early hours of morning around 5:30 am when it went off because it ran out of gas. About an hour later, the generator up and running again. When we asked the host about the generator, she simply said, there is nothing she can do about and that park is working on an alternative plan but she didn't know when "the alternative plan" will take place. She did offer different site but we already put up the tent and set up everything else and the camp side she was offering was a group camp side and very secluded and separated and I didn’t feel comfortable and also the camp side we picked had a good view of ocean why should I change the site I chose because of incompetent management. This is poor management, they should have a warning on their website for campsites 6, ,7, and 8 regarding continuous generator noise.
Also they did not have any running water inside bathrooms and this also wasn’t mentioned on website and as a matter of the fact the site is saying there are sink with running water inside bathrooms and yet another false information.
The management called us and left a voice mail message regarding this incident and we called back twice and still no response. I hope at least when they read this review they fix the problem so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
This is a beautiful campground the location is beautiful but avoid site 6,7,8

Just a little muddy at our site but otherwise great!

Campground was very clean, restrooms were very clean. I was disappointed that we could not use the sink in the restrooms. Camp hosts were very hard working.
