Most beautiful run down campground in calif. Its saving grace, Sand dollar beach.

Great campground. #33 is best site, very remote. Great facilities, clean, water, flush toilets, friendly host. Wood is priced steep at $15.

Site 33 is the best because of how secluded it is. Had a great time except for all the ticks. So be careful and stay out of tall grass.

Be informed that there is now no potable water at the campground.

Absolutely loved it here!! Campground is surrounded by trees but from our site you could still see the ocean and can always hear the waves crashing on the shores. Site 33 is the best! It's more secluded from the other sites but still with plenty of room. The road going north was closed but plenty of hikes and beaches to explore near the campground. Firewood is $15 a bundle but the camp hosts were super nice and always readily available. 10/10 will definitely be back here again.

The campsites on the edges have the most privacy and flatter surfaces. Stayed at camp 33 and felt like I was on my own until I stepped out down the trail to find the restroom. Location is excellent to walk down to the beach or a nice hike.

Have been camping here for decades. Pretty great campground though some sites are near the highway and the group sites are right behind some sites which can get pretty noisy. Lots of dogs running off leash and the hosts do nothing about it. Have had some nice hosts here though there was a pretty grumpy maintenance guy last time.

Plaskett Creek was Awesome! The camp host was very cordial. The trip up the PCH 1 was breathtaking. Make sure you bring plenty of water for cooking and bathing if you are tent camping. There is an abundance of poison oak so bring a bottle of calamine lotion just in case. Can’t wait to camp there again.

No campfires were allowed in the entire campground. I had just camped on the North Coast and there were no restrictions there. Without a camp-fire I was not able to cook, so I decided to pack-up and leave for home - Waste of $

This is a beautiful campground for those that like campgrounds... I'm not a fan of campgrounds. I ended up here because I managed to snag a night at Kirk Creek and wanted to spend more than one night I'm the area. This seems like a great place for families or large groups. As a solo traveler who values solitude & quiet, this place felt a bit loud and exposed. I was in spot 33 which is a nice spot on the outside loop. The host that checked me in was very nice and helpful. If I was to go again, I'd definitely try to get a spot in the outside loop

Nice camp hostess. Very well kept and clean. Got poison oak off the picnic table bench. Pretty bad.

The campsite was great! We camp at site 33 which in my opinion is the best site for tent camping. Both the camp host were amazing and made the bathrooms and the whole site look clean. The beach is a short hike down some stairs which can be a bit much but the beach was beautiful. No sand all rocks but still is great! There are also other hiking trails in the area. Overall I had a great experience and this camp sites ranks on the top of my favorite list.

Great campground. easy access to the beach, close to Gorda and a great base camp to day trip around Big Sur. Keep in mind... No showers.
