The scenery is amazing and the host and rangers were kind and attentive. Campsites were clean and tidy, potable water is a boon! The bathrooms were out of service and have been for awhile. It would be nice if flat spots were created for tent campers. It was very hard to find a spot for our tent at many of the sites.

Clean and beautiful campsite located between the ocean and the mountain. Some of the toilets are flush-type.

This is a beautiful, well maintained campground with great hosts. However, the water was off in the bathroom sinks and dishwashing areas. Sand Dollar day use area is practically across the road and is a must see. It would be nice if there was a trail to it where you didnt have to walk on the highway. If the water was on in the bathrooms (portability issues) its a five star experience.

Plaskett has always been my favorite local campground, I have been going there for more than 30 years. I hate the online reservation game that has to be played though. The hosts were very pleasant and the grounds and bathrooms were very clean.

I very much enjoyed my stay. It was my first camping trip as a solo (female) camper. I felt welcomed and looked out for by the camp hosts. The only downside is a lot of large families and many kids running around, so if you're looking for a more tranquil spot, Kirk Creek might be a better choice.

Location was great and so was upkeep with the bathrooms and whatnot. Communication from the camp-host replacements could have been better. Wanted to buy firewood and didn't know they were the ones I needed to go to.

No potable water or flush toilets as was expected based on online information. No prior notice that facilities were unavailable. Firewood is very expensive - $15 per bundle. Based on PMC Parks information, firewood should have been $10/bundle: "Firewood:All of our campgrounds which have hosts on site sell firewood. They sell for $10 per bundle. You are also welcome to bring your own, but please do try to buy where you will burn." The location is nice, that's about it.

No potable water and portapoties - what happened?! This campground used to be incredible, but now... serious lack of maintenance and not having the basics was a disappointment.

This campground is amazing. My family had an amazing trip and sand dollar beach, just across the highway, is one of the best beaches weve ever been to. My only complaint is the lack of courtesy from other campers at this campground. We have been to campgrounds all over California and we have never seen so many people, kids and adults, with complete disregard for personal space. There were people walking through our campsite the entire time. Its kind of hard to enjoy a family dinner or a camp fire when strangers are constantly walking by the table, in between our truck and trailer, and all through our set up. Overall, still a great campground and we are already talking about when we are going back.

The camp host are very nice and it is a beautiful campground.I gave this campground experience a lower score because there is not much to do there. To get to the beach you have to walk down a steep flight of stairs and it's just a beach. The walk to Jade Cove is nice but the walk to the cove is rugged. I suppose if you wanted to drive further north you could find more hiking.

The campground host was so helpful, accommodating and present. The grounds & facilities were clean, spacious and so dark and quiet at night that it was one of our best star viewing stays. A short walk on paths to the ocean cliffs across the road allowed for viewing of sea otters at Jade Cove, Pelicans from Mill Creek to Sand Dollar Beach and whale watching everywhere. A short walk and path with stairs down to Sand Dollar Beach gives you a beautiful stretch of beach and waves crashing against rocks & churning blue around them. Sunset views are good from anywhere with an incredible view from the Forest Service Road just above the campground. I stayed late in February.

Have been coming to Plaskett Creek for many years now, at first tent camping, then tent-truck camping and now in our newly converted mini schoolbus camper. It is always a special trip and a recharging experience, food for the soul you might say. Facilities always immaculately maintained, friendly camp hosts and respectful camper neighbors. Discovered even more trails to explore on mountain bikes this last time out and had another wonderful getaway week. Looking forward to coming here for many years to come. Keep up the great work please!

I enjoyed my stay at Plaskett Creek, what a beautiful area to be staying in! This campground has plenty of big trees for shade, big plus in the summer! Unfortunately this time my spot was very slanted, there was really no level spot for my tent, and the table was super slanted as well. I would say that this was very much a gathering campsite, some sites had 4 tents on them and there was music playing at several campsites during the day and evening. Everyone was good about quiet hours though and the hosts were super friendly! Sand dollar beach nearby is intense, it was not a swimming beach when I was there, rolling thunderous waves all day long, which was amazing to watch! Overall this is an excellent campground : )

Our family had a wonderful stay. Excellent vibe, great memories. I did get into poison oak (which is warned! And ticks - check kids and pets.). We loved the beach, great hiking, and beautiful sunsets. We will keep coming back.
