The best Big Sur campground by far. Spacious and every site has an amazing view.

Gorgeous location - spectacular views of the ocean but NOT recommended for larger trailers, 5th wheels or motor homes. The main road in the campground is very narrow, steep at parts and access to almost all the sites is short, tight and narrow. Our group of experienced drivers with 34 foot 5th wheels all struggled to get into our sites and were straddling a curb, driving in mud in 4 wheel drive on a significant incline and dodging thick pampas grass to get into the sites.

Always love it here. Gorgeous views, hear the waves, everything else quiet. Bring extra leveling blocks if you're in an RV - sites are not flat!

Beautiful campground in Big Sur, this site has SPECTACULAR views and the sunsets are amazing, however not at all level for a small trailer (bring levelers!) and not much flat space. Site lacks privacy compared to other sites but the road noise was acceptable. Camp hosts did an excellent job keeping the area clean and tidy. Plenty of bunnies and ground squirrels but no raccoons sighted (slightly bummed lol).

Small campground with beautiful scenery. Not a ton of privacy in this spacious natural space. Lovely sunset. Would def return.

Great spot for camping along Big Sur coastline. No water at campground, pit toilets, our site was a bit sloping and that would have been a problem if our group size was larger with several tents but was fine for two in a tent.

Beautiful journey to Kirk Creek, elegant camp site for our trailer, and superb weather.

Note that despite the confusing verbiage on the website, fires for cooking (or warmth) are NOT allowed at this time. The staff member onsite was super kind to lend us a spare propane grill. Otherwise, the location can't be beat! There's also a decent amount of space between campsites for some privacy, which was nice.

Great little place to camp with the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep! The beach area is amazing

We booked campsite 31. While booking, we thought campsite 31 would not have a descent view of the ocean as its located all the way in the back. However, when we got there, we found out, this site sits at an elevation higher than any other sites in the campground hence we had beautiful views! Yes, there are sites with better shades and beautiful panoramic views but this wasn't bad! The camp host are welcoming and helpful. They brought us our firewood bundle right up to the firepit which we bought for $15 each! Do not transport firewood from one area to another!
The campground has a nice little trail going down to the water, just be careful there are lots of poison oaks! Oh and there are wild habitat. We saw quiet a few bunnies and squirrels and very close encounters with big fat racoons! The racoons there are surely doing something right, there are not scared of humans, they are big and fat! We had one come steal our trash (rookie mistake) but we chased him away. He came back with reinforcements later. We had lots of footprints on our SUV the next morning. Other than that, we slept well. We went there on April 1st and the temperature was about 88 degrees when we got there and it dropped about 35 degrees that night. It will get cold! Come prepared.
There are vault toilets, they are as clean as a vault toilet can be. If you are one of those who likes to bring a luggable loo, then be prepared to pack out your waste because they don't allow dumping in the vault toilets or trash cans!
