We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it with a nice greeting from Michael-host. We had a great view and the sounds of the ocean were awesome ! Everything of the campground facilities was very well kept. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This was our first time at Kirk Creek. It was absolutely beautiful! Brent and Kearsten were AWESOME camp hosts. The bathrooms were always clean and well stocked along with each campsite cleaned and ready for the next campers. They were so friendly and helpful, even delivered firewood to our campsite. We look forward to camping there again.

Absolutely amazing campground with very helpful and friendly camp hosts. The views are amazing! The pit toilets are probably the cleanest that I've ever experienced at a campground.

This is one of the most amazing campgrounds on the California coast. If you drive in from the north, be advised that there are lots of amenities to the south, and elephant seals can be found just north of San Simeon.

Fill up with gas, especially diesel. There is no diesel on the mountain and no cell service. It was the most stunning place we have camped. Beating out Holy Cross and Jenny Lake in Tetons.

This is hands down my new favorite camping spot. The sites are slightly tiered so everyone has a pretty great view of the ocean, and because it's a smaller campground and everyone was there to listen to the waves while sitting under the stars it was really quiet and respectful. There's no running water so plan ahead, but there is a really cute market just a few minutes away for any last minute needs. 10/10 highly recommend.

I am very sad about this campground. It is in a beautiful spot and it is being trashed. I have been to many campsites in CA. They all have wildlife-proof garbage cans with hidden handles that you have to lift to open the lids. This one did not. It had hanging metal circular cans with circular lids. There were racoons everywhere. EVERYWHERE. When we pulled in the first night, I saw three in one garbage can and two in another. They had no problem taking off the lids. One of the toilets made the whole camp stink. It needed to be emptied. It seems like people are coming in with these tent-toilets and then dumping them in the camp toilets when they leave. This made for a very sloshy and stinky environment at the bottom of the pits, not how they are meant to be used at all. There is no excuse for not installing proper garbage cans and not emptying the toilets when you charge $80 a night for a spot here. It's embarrassing, get it together.

I loved the campground. The location is relatively remote and the views you get are amazing. Lots of poison ivy in the area, so you need to be careful. My only criticism (and the reason why my rating is not reflected) is that the camp hosts (a young husband and wife team) were not welcoming, available or present for their guests. We were there for almost one week and we never were greeted by the hosts and never checked in properly. We went to the hosts a few times to try and check in, even went there to ask them for assistance with a different matter, but they never assisted us. I understand we can all be busy at times but being there for as long as we were, there were plenty of opportunities to make a different impression. Our camp host experience was disappointing in such a beautifully set campground.
