One of the most Beautiful campground I ever stayed. Very kind and nice camping host, Justin. I definitely come back again if I could make a reservation. ;)

Gorgeous views, campsites somewhat close. This was our first time camping on grass, so recommend a mat to wipe wet shoes before entering RV, tent etc.Camp hosts were pleasant and helpful.

You can hear the wave impacts as youre laying on your sleeping bag. Gorgeous views and great hiking areas. Randomly, you get to see some cool animals (been to this campsite multiple times).

The campground setting is spectacular and the hosts are helpful and hard working. However, the outhouses cause the lower loop sites to smell like ammonia. Also, many of the sites on the larger loop are so sloped that it is hard to find a flat area to pitch a large tent. We had to pitch our tent in the parking strip of our site. Then we moved to another site and we had to pitch our tent right next to the fire pit because the site was basically a hill. Be prepared to deal with a gang of raccoons every night. Even if you lock up all food and clean up everything, they are tenacious. They were even trying to open the hatch on our camper shell. We love kirkcreek CG and Big Sur, and we will still go back, but we hope to see some improvements.

Saw a few chonky boi raccoons, but they didn't bug us. Bathrooms clean, friendly environment, friendly camp caretakers, beautiful views, perfect weather in early June. No mosquitos. Poison oak is prevalent though; at edge of tent areas so make sure to learn to identify it.

We had a wonderful time at Kirk Creek. Something strange happened upon checkin, even though we had reserved a site for 2 vehicles we had to pay extra $10 a night to have the second car. This should be disclosed in advance as it would have been a problem if we didnt have cash.

Clean and comfortable. Camp hosts were friendly and kept the bathrooms very clean. Other campers were quiet and respectful. A great time at this amazing campground.

The best coastal campground -- period. The big caveat is if you can get in. What was very disappointing on my recent trip was waiting 6 months to get a site and then finding the campground was less than 50% full. Lots of sites available so why does the website show full all the time. They need to have a better system for filling empty spots last minute.

Great spot. Raccoons are insane! They will get into anything and have no fear of people.

Beautiful setting. The hosts were very kind. It would be nice if the poison oak could be cut back or eliminated. With young kids, it is difficult to avoid it since it was nearly everywhere. Thankfully we emerged unscathed!

Most beautiful campground weve been to! Sunset there was beautiful, the atmosphere is nice and camp sites have a private feeling since they are a bit apart. Location was great to visit Big Sur the next day. Easy check in and friendly staff!

Literal heaven. We made friends with a squirrel that hung out with us while playing cards. The path from the campsites to the beach is a great way to wake up

Wonderful campsite with incredible views of Pacific Ocean. Easy access to the water, challenging hiking trails and biking. Campground hosts Dara and David are fantastic, attentive and kind (even drove by and checked in to see if we needed any firewood).

The hosts, Donna and Dave, were very good about keeping the noise level down. No one wants to listen to someone else's radio while he's camping.

We spent 2 nights in site #024...the last immediately next to the hiker-biker camp section. The park was easy to find (JUST MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MAP BEFORE YOU LEAVE SANTA CRUZ AREA (if heading south) BECAUSE THERE'S ZERO RECEPTION!). Pavement all the way around the park. Good signage, so was easy to find our location... Efficient check in and out, and camp host very friendly and helpful...told my kids tips on how to find salamanders.NO WATER in the premise so plan accordingly. Share with the bikers coming in that have no idea what off time! The campground is very scenic ... views everywhere! Also a hike (mostly incline) immediately across Hwy 1 from campground entrance -- 5 miles up to get to a peak. Great listening to the sound of the waves! Important to note that to get to the beach, you have to go between campsites #9 & #11. for ticks!!!

Got here at 1am in the morning during a pouring storm Friday night from LA. A little sketch but also exhilarating. Checked in the next day. Even with fog and intermittent rain for the weekend, it was blast, but we did expect rain and prepare for it. We hiked in the area and ate a diner down the road once, although most of the menu was unavailable due to recent road closures and the fact that it was off-season.Road closed briefly on and off during our stay due to the rain but we were able to continue our trip up to Monterey Bay during a window. We stayed at one of the corner sites and had a view of the ocean from our tent. You could see other sites from every other site but it was not super cramped like some other campgrounds.

Excellent camping trip, lots to explore around it. Just be careful with your food and trash, there are raccoons. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place. Felt so special! One note, the egg-stealing raccoon and the compost toilet. Would definitely book this campground again if we were so fortunate to visit the US again.
