The host is great. The setting is great. But definitely needs some basic work. One of the bathrooms had a seat lid missing, that was also missing last year when we were there. It seems like basic upkeep that is the responsibility management, not the host, is not being done.

Beware of poison oak.. all over. Ticks are around as well. The views are fantastic. Pick you sight carefully if you have a trailer to make sure you can back in.

Best place we've ever camped. Very clean and well kept campground. Great staff. Wish more of the shrubbery closer to the cliff was cut down lower for a better view. Maybe a posting of a map of the trails would be great.

Great location. No traffic with hwy 1 closed from north. Only downside is lack of running water.

No camphost was present to check us in, then on the 4th day when they came by and told me they didn't have my reservation (that I made 6 months prior and had received several confirmation emails). They were polite and didn't argue with me but I didn't like the door knock.

Kirk Creek is located in one of the most iconic spots along the Big Sur Coast! We had great weather, campground hosts were friendly. The only negative were the marauding raccoons. This could be very easily rectified if the Forest Service put in trash cans that they couldn’t get into. It really is quite severe and there were almost a dozen swarming the trash cans and carrying off trash. Very unfortunate and preventable. Other then that I will be back again and again to camp in this stunning spot with dark skies and the Milky Way at night.

Kirk Creek is one of our favorites. It's just a nice quick getaway. Views are wonderful, weather is nice, and the drive to get there is beautiful as well. Good hiking across the street. We look forward to wood fires again. Nice mellow sleep in nature...good for the soul.

Our stay at the Kirk Creek Campground was lovely. We stayed in site 15 and we had access to a short trail that went down to benches that had a beautiful view of the water. It was the most amazing campground I have ever stayed in and I can't wait to return.
