The campground was spectacularly beautiful and clean with great access to beaches and hikes nearby. Our host, Michael, was simply exceptional. He told us all about local hikes and spots to check out, was so friendly, and in general made our weekend so memorable.

One of our favorite campsites, you can't beat the views and access to the water from the campsite trail. Clean pit potties. Very helpful and friendly camp host!

We really enjoyed the campsite (#13) and location! We hiked Vicente Flat trail through the redwoods and enjoyed some beautiful views of turquoise sea from above. Our campsite was private and had a nice view. The area next to the driveway had poison oak plants that had been trimmed but were still impossible to avoid stepping on. Removing/treating the poison oak underfoot at the campsite would be a helpful service so campers can avoid tracking it around their tent and car. We attempted to hike the trail down to the beach, but it was overgrown with poison oak and did not appear to have been maintained for several months. More attention to poison oak remediation in heavily traveled areas would make this campsite excellent. 4 stars reflects the indifference to campers getting infected by poison oak.

Such a beautiful spot, much more peaceful now that the highway ends just a few miles north. Nicely maintained, super friendly

Meh... nice location, but host runs a huge generator (boo!), smells like sewage, drones flying overhead- not as epic as I thought it would be and I was happy to move on. The Vicente Flat trail across the road was, however, awesome!

Nice view of the ocean but poison oak everywhere. Booked for 2 nights had to leave the first same day due to rain and possible landslide. Website says fully booked but lots of open sites when we got there.

There was a pickup truck and a couple of sawhorses with signage blocking the main drive and it made the campground look kind of dumpy. The camp host trailer and the junk outside of it is next to the sawhorses and pickup truck. It looks like someones trashy front yard in a low rent neighborhood. Clean it up and make the campground match the coastline views.

Absolutely stunning campsite and campground! Hosts were very friendly and gave us a nice welcome upon arrival. Thankfully, they warned us about aggressive raccoons. They weren't kidding. The raccoons tried to snatch things right from under us.

Staff was very friendly and personable, I only saw one small raccoon approach during sunset and grounds were clean. Both myself and my dogs picked up a ton of ticks so be sure to check yourself and pups. The trails down to the shore were pretty overgrown.

The camp ground was so central coast California! Perched up on the hill overlooking the rugged shoreline and open ocean. There are some good hikes right off the parking lot in front of the camp ground so no need to drive anywhere. I went in February and the poison ivy EVERYWHERE! There is no water available at the campground and the fire wood is VERY expensive so plan accordingly!

Loved place. This campground offers fantastic view and hike, however there is no water, no phone/internet services. You should prepare for racoon and mice. I found racoon's foot prints all over my truck. My truck has bed cover that stopped from racoon to get in but not mouse. There was a mouse when I opened truck bed early morning. I found a bag with hole inside truck bed. Overall it was very good time to relax and enjoyed fantastic view.

Absolutely amazing views.
Be prepared with plenty of drinking water for your entire trip, as there is ZERO there.
there is not water for washing dishes either, other than a walk down to the creek and back up.
plenty of wonderful hiking.

Drove 3 hrs to only get turned away 10 miles to go, due to highway 1 closures. NO notice/updates on the camp website, which kept showing 'campground open'.No way to call any help..overall the whole thing sucked!

The camp hosts were so kind! The view was beautiful ❤️ Even just walking the loop of campsites was beautiful, and the trail was sweet. Nice view of the stars, and sweet drive going north!

Nice views, we were prepared and brought our own water. Were not prepared for packs of voracious raccoons who would climb on the table the second your back is turned, and try to get in the car. Made the evening campfire not quite so enjoyable.
