Public campground at Highway no. 1 with perfect view to the sea. We loved it!

The camp hosts were fantastic. They were so helpful and friendly. They made checking in so easy and had firewood when I really needed it. Definitely will be back soon!

Beautiful campground with great hosts and glorious views. If you’re planning on getting campground 25, it’s nice but on the smaller side. Probably best for 2 people.

The campsite had a nice view of the ocean and a well kept, clean facility.

Campsite has beautiful views of the beach. Unfortunately when we were there it was pretty foggy most of the day. We stayed at site 25 which was near a bathroom. The bathroom smelled and we would get frequent whiffs of the horrible bathroom smell at our site. Camp fires were not allowed during our stay there and you can only use a stove with a California Campfire Permit. No one checked to see if we had the permit. Also, several campsites had fires going and no one told them to extinguish the fires which was really unfair as the nights were cold and we would have loved to have a fire but respected the rules.

The campsite is lovely overall. Our particular site was small and did not have a grass area for setting up our tent. It was dry and dusty. We also had neighbors who ran a generator until 11pm... bummer!

The pit toilets were clean though and overall the site was clean. The walk down to the beach was nice!

Great campground with a beautiful view. Trail from campground goes to a beautiful beach but is slightly overgrown. Wear long sleeves to avoid itchy plants. Children loved this campground because of the beach access.

Some trailer campers kept bright exterior lights on at night that hurt night sky viewing and night time ocean views. Campers using the hiker/biker sites were loud and obnoxious late into the night and early in the morning. Overall campers at this campground seem less knowledgeable about outdoor etiquette and LNT.

Enjoyed walking down to the beach; enjoyed the campfire with wood delivery to our site. Host was very accommodating! Happy to have been able to secure a reservation.

We had SUCH a great time. First time at this spot. There probably is not a bad space in the entire site. The hosts were SO awesome-- we only were able to reserve one night but they gave us all the info on how to get a FF spot. Then the next day, there ended up being a no-show reservation and they allowed us to get an even BETTER spot that we originally reserved for the first night. Both nights were great and beautiful all around. Watch out for poison oak but otherwise I cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much for an amazing experience.
