Beautiful location, views of the ocean, waves breaking at the shore! We had site #10, most likely somebody cancelled, otherwise we would still be trying to find an opening; this camp is fully booked year round and for good reason. Warning: Sites downwind from the restrooms may not be a good choice due to obvious reasons.

Gorgeous campsite feet from the stunning ocean and located directly across from an amazing hike. Very kind staff. Only thing is to watch out for the raccoons :)

It was delightful falling asleep to the sound of surf.

The campground is in a wonderful location, perched atop the cliffs at the oceanside. The sites are decent sized. The camp host was friendly and helpful.Since Highway 1 is partially closed this greatly cuts down the traffic noise, which normally is loud since the road runs right by the campground. It's a good time to visit now.

The location is beautiful! We loved the walk along the trail down to the ocean. The bathrooms were not very clean. Weve been to other campsites with vault toilets and they can be clean and not so unpleasant. Also, you have to watch out for the gang of raccoons wandering around at night.

Very quiet with Hwy shut down. Plenty of open camp sites although the web page indicated that it was mostly fully occupied.Great views of the Central California Coast. Very clean and tidy campsites

The hosts are welcoming and cool people, its a truly remarkable place to lay your head, hearing the tide and waves crash beneath the site!

Amazing views, amazing hosts, will be back. However, as other reviewers have said the raccoon problem is pretty bad, we were sitting by the fire at night and barely had anything out and they were climbing all over our cars and the table right next to us. Could hear other campsites yelling at them all night too. Something worth considering especially if you are tent camping or bringing dogs.

Wonderful campground with friendly bunnies and ground squirrels. Vies awesome. Beach thunderous. Staff amazing. Will return again and again with my Epic Fire App!

Site #10 needs maintenance. The host was good enough to swap that site for us to another when we couldnt get our trailer in. And the huge boulders all around block the ability to maneuver your trailer.

Kirk Creek is by far our favorite campground on the Central Coast. It has beautiful views right by the ocean. You can watch the sunset every day. Theres a nice, easy hike down to the beach which you can access right from the campground. The campground is clean and well maintained. The camp hosts are nice helpful people. There are also a lot of hiking trails and other beach access close by. Our favorite part is the grassy campsites. Its comfier if youre tent camping and you dont get dirt everywhere. Would highly recommend!

Amazing campground! Hosts were friendly, kept bathrooms clean, came around with firewood and water for sale each night. Close to lots of fun stuff. Small store (in Lucia) roughly 10 min, but that's about it. Beautiful weather, no wind (at least when we were there). Campground wasn't too loud. Like everyone else says, LOTS OF POISON OAK! Also, lots of squirrels!

Kirk Creek CG is amazing. It's impossibly beautiful and very well maintained. I don't know the average Big Sur weather in March but we had a 70°F day with a 40° night and a perfect sunset. I hope to go again soon.

Absolutely the best viewing camp spot in California and from pretty much every site. Availability is tough to come by but very much worth it if you can get a spot.

This was truly a magical place, I have never been so in awe my entire life. The experience was absolutely amazing! The host (Joyce) was great and made everything easy breezey. Im the type that cant sit still and if I am I have to do multiple things at once, I just sat there and stared. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! I am going to go back here again for sure!

Location is wonderful. We have a 34 fifth wheel trailer. We reserved a site on line that was listed as suitable for our RV. Site 10 is NOT appropriate for a RV our size. It is on a sharp corner, bushes across the road, and large boulders at the entrance. We could not back our trailer into site #10. We are not beginners and have never had a site we could not use in our years of traveling. Fortunately one other site was open. The camp hosts offered little assistance. When asked directly if there was another site available, they did say we could try one other. They did not seem very interested in our problem. We were able to use the alternate site. The location is beautiful. Only some of the sites are suitable for larger RVs. This was not clear to us when we reserved on line. Perhaps that is our fault, but it may be that more careful evaluation of the sites and information provided is needed. Fortunately one other site was open and we were able to spend the night.
