The sites are fairly large so youre not camping right on top of others.

Wonderful spot to meet family from all over Northern California. Beautiful area. Great hikes for all levels. Water activities are limited-not a swimming lake.

People did not follow the campground rules like quiet hours and arrived at all hours to set up camp. One group of campers in anticipation of a friend's arrival at midnight stood in our campsite at 10:35pm discussing where their friends could put their tent in the neighboring site. She commented how she wished their friends could have our spot. She wasn't the first camper to infringe on our campsite either. Lassen seems to attract campers that do not understand that it's impolite to come into someone else's campsite.Loop C was also extremely smoky. Too many campfires burning late into the night. I came home with a sinus infection.I won't be back. Lassen is far from home. It made me better appreciate the national parks that I have in my own backyard where the folks mostly follow campground rules and more considerate of others.

Manzanita Lake campground is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The campground and facilities are clean and well kept. We took our inflatable kayaks and launched them in Manzanita Lake. The water was clear enough to see the trout swimming about below us. We didn't have much luck catching them but then we didn't try too hard either. The views of Lassen peak from the lake were spectacular.

Want high prices, be sure to go to Manzanita Lake, where they charge $15 for bundle of firewood and $5 for a shower.

We stayed at Manzanita Lake CG in a Travel Trailer and had a wonderful time. The Trailer site was level and required no blocks. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The showers were clean and conveniently located. We did the complete 35 mile (1 way) driving tour of the Park and found that it starts and ends at Manzanita Lake CG. There are several trails of all difficulty levels within easy walking distance.

Good location for staying in Crater Lake NP. Friendly management and campground store. Great trails. Campsites reasonably private. Only downside was when my batteries were dieing and I wanted to switch to an open electric site I was told that I couldnt because my trailer was too short. So I left early to get new batteries.
