Great campsite. Had tons of fun! Love the camp store right there. Cleanest bathrooms Ive seen at a campsite. Walking distance to the lake.

Great location. The campsite spaces are large, lots of shade, and flush-able toilets.

Our reserved and paid for campsite was occupied. Nobody was present the three times we knocked on the door of the offending 5 th wheel trailer., over a three hour period , Between 6:45 PM and 9:30 PM. There was no ranger on duty. There was no one on duty at the entrance station. There was no one to talk to. We went to the ranger housing and found a nature ranger, who said they would call law enforcement. Apparently they never came or never cleared our campsite. We had to camp in the day use parking.

We were happy with our camping spot, overall. There was some confusion with other camperswhen we arrived, our spot was occupied, even though the reservation posted had our name and date clearly printed on it. The people were gracious and left, but disappointed they had to pack up and find another spot. It seemed every camp spot had a reserved sign on it, but most were empty during our stay. There was no campground host and the rangers were either unwilling or unable to assist answering questions or concerns.

Although we booked our vacation at Manzanita Lake in Jan for our July camping trip, we didn't get to experience it as we hoped. We got notification of a 5 day closure which was scheduled for the first day of our trip. This location was the first leg of our 10 day trip. We stayed overnight and had to be out the next day. The campground is large and the lake is nice. Lot's of bugs and people super careless with their campfires. We were left to scout out other campgrounds on a first come first serve basis as all full hookups were already booked. Disappointing.

Very good place to retreat and relax. We camped in Lassen National Park in late August. It was cold at night. Bring warm clothes and sleeping bags.

Beautiful campground and nice facilities. Walking distance to the lake from most campsites. Enjoyed visiting the camp store for odds and ends.
