Beautiful area! Nice campground. Bathrooms could use an update.

Camping at LVNP is also a fun and enjoyable experience - this time was no different.Although the campgrounds are usually full, the spacing and design still provides an experience of feeling as if one is in the outdoors. The campsites are kept clean, the bathrooms are clean and tidy, I like having a water station nearby along with a station to clean dishes/pots/pans. It is nice to be able to walk to several of the trail heads in the area, if you don't want to drive further into the park.

The park is beautiful, but unfortunately our site (A37) was right next to the pit toilet which stunk terribly ( esp in the afternoon/ evening when the sun hit it ) in spite of being closed. The site also had several hazards including some big holes in the ground ( which we covered with our stuff so we wouldn't trip or fall) and a cement block with bent rebar sticking out where someone had knocked over a railroad tie. The hosts were very nice, but there wasn't anything they could do and said that the park was full so we couldn't move. They did add the hazards to the maintenance list, but like everywhere right now the parks are short staffed.

Enjoyed the park but was disappointed with the camp hosts inability to enforce no washing of dishes at the fresh water locations. A violation of park rules and extremely unsanitary.

Lassen National Park's Manzanita lake campground is the best in the park. I have been coming to Lassen for years, it is beautiful and no where near as crowded as other national parks. Manzanita lake campground offer nicely spaced sites and clean bathrooms with flush toilets'. The campground store offer a laundry mat, hot showers, hot and cold food and nic-nac's you can't live without. All and all, a great place to enjoy the great outdoors.
