Campgrounds were spacious and clean. Camp host was amazing and friendly. Price ($26 a night) was extremely affordable. No dogs allowed on the lake or the trails. Didnt see that sign and almost was ticketed by forest ranger. Lake within 2 minute drive from campsite. Flushing toilets and a store with fresh coffee nearby. Will definitely be back!!

Great place to stay. I was only there for one night but wished I had stayed longer. There were lots of amenities here, especially at the camp store. Would love to check out the cabins in the future.

The campground spaces and trails were fantastic. The Manzanita Store was terrible!

Redonkulous lesbians run the store.
- $15 for a tiny bundle of wood (5 pieces).
- ATM cash machine does not work and according to the Vice Lesbian “the ATM has not worked for four years.”
- Showers require quarters but the store does not proved change for quarters to get a shower.
- only 2 showers work while 2 showers are broken in the mens area.
- The Manzanita Store is not what it used to be.
- The Visitors Lodge Deli food items were awful.
- No mention or promotion of Wolves in the park. Shocked me as the Sierra Nevada Wolf pack is known by locals to be in and around the park. They should promote the wolves educational information.
+ Roosevelt Elk herd (Bull + 4 cows) spotted in King Creek Meadow.
+ New trail to Mt. Lassen summit is good, better, safer.

Our group had campsites 3, 4, and 5. The maps on the website were a bit confusing and we did not realize that the road will pass through the middle of our group - three and four are on one side of the road and five is across the road. It really wasnt a big deal though. We brought kids at play signs which seemed to help. This particular site backs to the cabins which at the time of our reservation were unfilled due to the Covid pandemic. Easy walk down to the lake. The site was flat and large enough for a cabin style tent and still had room for all the cooking gear.

Loved the campground. Hiking accessibility was great, visitors were respectful, general store staff was friendly and showers were clean. Pit toilets were a little stinky, more than some usually are. Otherwise it was a wonderfully memorable stay
