Site had plenty of space and lots of shade. Easy access to water and bathrooms. The night sky was stunning! Brought our kayaks with and went out in Manzanita lake for a day. They also rent kayaks. We will definitely be back.

Nice park. Nice lake - a bit small but fun to kayak on (super easy, 1.3 mile around). Nobody at entry booth so we got no map or information. Really didnt see hide nor hair of any park rangers or employees. Broken down showers were closed on busiest weekend of year! Great view of mount Lassen from lake. Lots of cool birds. Fun hike to Chaos Crag area. Relaxing campground but not very private. All in all 4 stars.

The toilets near the store were extremely dirty and two out of four didn't flush properly. The camping sites are a bit close together, but not too bad. The issue has been two couples who were talking loud and chopping wood until 10 PM. Yes quiet hours only start at 10 PM, but still, laughing loudly and chopping wood at night ? That's pushing it. To compare, the campground at Crater Lake had cleaner toilets that worked, and calmer people.

B01 pull through camp site. Lots of room, some shade. short walk to the camp store and showers. The camp store had limited supplies mostly souvenirs.

Lassen Volcanic National Park is absolutely beautiful! Manzanita Lake Campground is in the forest and the sites are perfect. The camp hosts, Walt and Carla were the nicest people! There is a small store and they prepare food and coffee there, too. There are restrooms in the campgrounds and showers near the store. You must take a walk around Manzanita Lake while you are there. It is an easy 1.6 mile loop. This park offers many other hikes. We hiked to Lassen Peak and were rewarded with fantastic views. The 30 mile drive to the south end of the park is a wonderful paved twisty road that you will enjoy again and again. This park is high in elevation so it stays cooler than the hot valleys of California. We highly recommend a visit to this park and can't wait to come back again ourselves.

We stayed at 5 campgrounds in a two week period and this was by far the most beautiful. The camp host was friendly and helpful. The lake was peaceful and serene. We went kayaking and hiking and had an amazing time. If I return to Lassen I will stay there no question. My favorite spot of our travels this Summer.

Large, treed and beautiful site. Quiet at night, easy in and out, met LOTS of great fellow campers. The usual standout National Park experience! Hiked Manzanita Lake Trail every night for wind-down.
