I had a lovely view out into the forrest and a good night's sleep once the group of inconsiderate idiots were told to let the newborn sleep at midnight. I was furthest away from the lake, but there were still lots of mosquitos. The showers lacked water pressure but did have hot water, and the bathrooms were okay.

Nice campground especially in the tent only section. I'll admit I got spoiled at Yosemite but here's a few thoughts:

a) Store is not well stocked. It has some basic stuff but not must if you want to stock up on food or beverage. It ran out of ice (distributor problem).
b) only running water was at the bathrooms.....not a long walk but if you carrying a big bucket of water it becomes a bit of a challenge
c) only 1 bathroom for the D loop and seemed to be shared with the C loop. Never had to wait in line.
d) only urinal in men's bathroom was out of order for a few days

Those are 1st world camping problems so I can't say in any way it was a bad experience. The camp ground seemed to be well maintained. And the location to the lake was very nice. The lake hike was very nice and not hard to get to the geo-thermal sites around the park. All in all I would do it again if I were to visit Lassen NP

We very much appreciate your creating a tent only loop. It's so wonderful to be away from oversized mobile homes and the constant din of generators. The sites are well spaced and the reservation system works like a charm. The bathroom was well maintained. The only slight negative is the need to better educate people that talking loudly around the campfire till midnight is not observing quiet hours (10 pm - 6 am). Perhaps fires could be required to be put out at 10 pm as is done in Yosemite
