Campsites aren't super private, but facilities were in decent shape. Would be nice to have paper towels or hand dryers in the bathrooms. Did not try out the showers. Located in a very beautiful area, and a short drive away from the visitor centre. A small camping store has basic food/items for campers. A gas station is also on site.

Though, we were a little disappointed this campground decided to cancel our reservations for our stay, then decided to later open the same sites/dates back up to the public a couple weeks later.

My family really enjoyed our stay at Mount Lassen Volcanic Park and our stay at the Manzanita Lake campground this summer. The bathrooms were clean, the camp store had great treats and the museum and rangers were great! We enjoyed hiking to Bumpass Hell and on the Kings Creek Trail. The rain did not stop our summer-fun! We only had one negative experience, when we were out exploring the park, someone stole items out of our bear box. We were saddened to learn the hard way that there was theft at the campsite. But, all in all we loved our time at the park and look forward to returning in the future.
