Overcrowded. Incredibly loud. One bathroom.

The campgrounds are beautiful and the bathrooms were nice.

This is a wonderful campground and gorgeous area of Lassen Volcanic Park. It's a unique kayaking experience to paddle in between the long fingers of basalt lava that poured into the lake, creating small blue-green fjords. (It can get very windy, though, so check!). Trail and campground crews have done a superhuman job clearing burn debris and making trails enjoyable and beautiful even after the Dixie fire. (As well as fire crews for saving the campground, I'm sure.) It's amazing how many trees still keep the campground cool and shady. The experience was made even better by wonderful campground hosts. Thank you so much!

restrooms were very dirty (overflowing toilets, toilet paper piles on the floor) and the campground host didn't enforce the noise rules (folks were very loud until 1am!)
