Overall I liked the site I had. Was big and with lots of spots to put my tent. Flush toilets, no lights in bathroom. Sink for dishes. Each of them seemed a bit uneven, but it's nature. Yes I could see all the sites around me, but each space seemed big. It was quiet when I was there. I was able to walk to the lake and nearby trails. Though you do get people racing by on the road, headed for the lake. I do agree with others about the road. Though that is not in the volcanic park part. Of course you still have to go 5 miles to get to the smoother drive. A few times I had to slow way down for how hard it shook. Aside from the walks around there, going out of the park you can reach a store near old station. And the subway lava tubes. Would definitely go and stay again.
