We stayed here at a previous trip and really liked it, so we stopped by again. First time was in site 16 and this time in site 15. Both sites are super long and level. Very peaceful campground with nice view of the lake. The host is great and has been there a long time....very friendly. If you want peace and quiet, try this campground out.

Clean, shaded, level. Pretty. Showers and restrooms were clean, but dated. Paint would pull it all together. But as rustic as it was the host does a great job on neatness and cleanliness. Hes kind attentive and funny. Place was great.

Large site, beautiful views of the lake. Roads were good, as was the cell service. The extra fees, electrical and reservation, were not appreciated.

We love the campground it is always nice and peaceful. However, the trash left in the firepit was sad. The previous campers left beer cans and solo cups in the firepit. That is never going to burn. I feel if the person on duty is going around checking in people they should be inspecting and cleaning up the site areas after people leave. Also, the bathrooms REALLY need some help. I know it's outdoors but a little time and regular attention could go along way for keeping the bathrooms clean, fresh and supplied and remove the spider web collection and do a little prevention. Make sure toilets and showers work properly too at least once a month do a good work over. That's my opinion anyway. It would go a LONG way in making this an epic campground.

There are many activities to keep you busy, such as hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. The sites are good with many having lake views.

Great site. Lots of shade. Sites are spaced to where you aren’t right next to each othe. Showers need remodeling. Trails are good.

We were in site 15 right on the water and near a clean bathroom. Beautiful forest during our spring visit. Sites are well spaced and campers were quiet and polite. Easy to get to after exiting freeway at Minden, LA.

Campground is small and quiet. Sites are spaced far apart. Saw many deer, squirrels and lots of fish. Nice trails for walking. Used area roads for biking though. Definitely will return.

Beautiful place. Great, safe swimming area! Nice campsites.

There were No trail maps available so it was difficult to find the trails or to orient where you were or where they ran. Also, trails were in bad shape, mostly over grown with bridges out and trees laying across the trail in several places.

We love this park and will continue to camp here and have introduced it to 4 other couples that enjoyed it as much as we did...however, the locks on BOTH of them women's restrooms stall doors do not work properly. This could quickly become a safety issue. Considering the bathrooms only accommodate one person at a time, there should be a lock on the entrance door that users can lock once inside. Can someone please look into this? We shouldn't have to ask our spouses to stand outside to make sure no one comes in.

Camp sites are well spaced, clean and appeared to be well kept. Rest rooms and showers need work. ( scraped and painted). I did observe park employes replacing a commode in one of the restrooms. They are also redesigning some of the fire pits so to keep your wood off the ground for better airflow and burning. Enjoyed daly walks around campground with my two doges. Camp host are friendly and helpful. It rained four days of my stay but was still very enjoyable. Will stay here again when I'm in this area.
