Because this is currently the only campground open, it was very crowded with every site full. While the trees are beautiful, they don't offer any privacy, so be prepared to be in full view of your neighbors at all times. Bathrooms have running water, flush toilets and are well maintained. Table was not level at all, unless you're interested in moving it. Parking spot is also a good distance from the picnic table/bear box/fire ring.

The bathrooms were vey clean, which is the most important part. The only bad part, was that some people stayed up really late drinking and making a lot of noise that kept me awake. By late I mean Ike 1AM. Hike into roads end and go to Mist Falls. There are spots to get into the water and cool off and the views are amazing. Looks like Yosemitee with out all the people.

Great campground with nice amenities and plenty of space. Love all the trees and shade, it was great to have a river close by as well. We had a phenomenal time

Very quiet and tranquil campground. At the entry to Kings Canyon. Just wake up, and go hiking. The river runs next to the campground and provides a good cool down, with safety considered, and excellent ambient noise.

I came to the site, but it is too late to come back at the campground. I went to other place to see and walk at kings canyon but for my road safety I didnt come back.Nice place.

We always love the beauty of the Cedar Grove area. Our only disappointment is that funding for our National Parks has dwindled so that services (such as the store) and ranger shows are not available until at least Memorial Day, and we understand that some services, etc., may not be available until much later than that.

Sentinel Campground is incredible. Its quiet and the sites are spacious. The restrooms are a little grungy, but just from age, not poor cleaning. The campground is deep within Kings Canyon. Its a long drive to get to Sequoia. I wasnt aware of this when booking and hadnt planned on so much car time during my visit.Im sure its easier when other visitor centers and community areas are open, but it was also a pain to get to the main visitors center for wood and other supplies. That said, I did have a spectacular visit and would return to this location on future visits.
