Awesome campground, clean showers & bathrooms. Staff was always around to answer questions. Good food at the snack bar.

Love our stay at Sentinel campground conveniently located right next to the Kings River which the kids did not stay out off while we were there and I did not miss a chance to fish and catch me some wild trout.

We have been camping at Sentinel for 40 years and always enjoy the beauty of Sequoia and Kings Canyon. It never gets old!!

Nice campground in a beautiful area. We were caught by surprise by the fact that the concessionaire did not open the showers in 2022. We saw nothing on the park website nor in the recreation.gov Information. There are even large Showers signs on the road pointing to the shower and laundry building. It didnt ruin the trip, but we were kind of stinky after a week with no showers.

One site had about 20-30 people yelling and cackling at the top of their lungs cursing and being drunkards until 2:30am. It sounded like a bar or nightclub. Wheres the enforcement of policy? There should be a relative curfew check to ensure no disturbances in the campground. Its so unfair to everyone else that one reservation ruined the sleep of everyone in the campground.

Just make sure your gas tank is filled up before you start into the parks. The camp grounds were very nice with plenty of room for each site. The fun part arriving was following Rt. 180 through Sequoia to the camp grounds. It offered amazing views of Kings Canyon but it is not for the faint of heart.

The only negative was that the NPS located a new trash dumpster at site 36 where we were and it was about 15 feet from our trailers door. I’d like to see that relocated.

It was nice, but secluded and seemingly unpopulated.....for a late August.
