Beautiful campground in the middle of Kings Canyon National Park. There are bathrooms, a visitor center, and a drinking water fountain. No showers!

Absolutely loved amping down in the canyon. So quiet and serene. The grounds and facilities are well cared for. We were on site number 9 which was convenient to trash and restrooms. It does get cold at night so be prepared, and be diligent to follow bear safety rules.

The sites we acquired were the best in the camp...have been trying to get those sites for a couple years now and finally beat out the crowd. We had a wonderful time, weather was great, and had visiting bears every night (same mother and cubs each time). We knew we had nothing to worry about since we didn't leave anything out, but they did pass through and made some noise "looking around". Due to our noise-making (as instructed to do) I believe we frightened the cubs up the tree, so we had to wait a bit for them to come down before Mama bear felt relaxed enough to leave our camp. It was quite the experience! Thank you again for a great time, BEARS and all!! See you next year!!

We loved our last-week-of-August 2019 stay. Rushing Kings' River.Few campers. Perfect in so many ways. This campground is farback in the canyon, yet near a store and showers. Glad we found it.Aloha, Janis and John bushLa Habra, CA PS: We found great joy in no phone service and no daily newspapers. The world went on without us just fine. Better yet, we got along even better.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
