We enjoy the camping site, it has what we expected. Maybe the table is too close to the road, but the view was gorgeous. It was a blessing to wake up every morning and enjoy Gods creation. We camped in the middle of September, and there were a lot of wasps (yellowjackets). It would be good to bring a canopy with screen walls to be set up in the dining area, which will help to keep wasps away from the food at meal times. It could be a good idea to bring a small axe for firewood. There is a lot of wood around, it just needs to be broken down.

Campsite was ridiculously close to neighbor. I couldn't even unpack my car without stepping around their tents. My firepit was closer to their tents than mine.

An absolutely beautiful campsite, we took my boyfriends little sister with us for her first camping trip and she loved it. Its clean, the view is stunning, theres running water, toilets nearby, a dish sink, bear boxes for storage, its definitely a favorite.

My daughter and I visited Sequoia National Park and camped at Lodgepole for the second year in a row just a week or so ago. And have done so at least 3-4 other times over the past 5-6 years. I can't recommend the experience any more enthusiastically. So much wondrousness and enchantment is a hike or short drive and hike/walk away. If you enjoy camping but have not been to Sequoia National Park, you absolutely have to experience it the Lodgepole way. In my opinion the Upper Loop is where it's at, in terms of the best campsites for tent camping. Go! You will not regret it.

Great campground. Upper loop is great for tent only camping if you can get it.
