excellent facilities and services needless to say that the Sequoia N.P. is one of the most beautiful places

Great location. Nice opening between trees. Great view of sky and stars. Got sunny between 10-2pm but weather was only 70s during the day. Restrooms were ok, could be cleaned more often. Flushing toilets. 15min walk to lodgepole market and showers (very busy during afternoon). Market has everything you could imagine. Seriously. Snacks, food, burgers, blue bunny ice cream. Only 10min to General Sherman

Everything was great. Friendly, helpful Rangers and staff. One perplexing thing I noticed was every campground in Sequoia and Kings Canyon had campground full signs at the kiosk but we were in Lodgepole for five nights and I dont believe it was ever more than half full. What gives?

I liked the fact that the small grocery store was very closeby as well by the bathrooms so everything was within walking distance even easy access to the trails so can't wait to go back up!

I arrived on a Sunday in August and no surprise, it was crowded. The crowd dwindled substantially over the course of the week I was there. However, the park was ultra clean, the staff & rangers more then friendly and the store at the Visitors center has everything you might need, including Ben & Jerry's & hot showers-Laundry machines. Saw deer (3 big bucks & 2 doe) early in the morning and a smallish bear (I had bear spray-but he was more afraid of me then me him). I recommend visiting the major points of interest, such as the Giant Forest, early as they do get very crowded. Hiked the Tocopah Falls trail and it was spectacular. Easy enough hike for elderly & kids. The Kaweah river running thru the park is, in spots, a sight to behold. Look for the spots where the boulders create little pools, great for colling off. I would go again, but there's just too many other beautiful places in this state & others to see in one life time. In a word, GO!
