Excellent place to stay while at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks!

A wonderful place to visit. We visited early fall, so we missed the shuttle service through the park, however we also missed the summer crowd. The campgrounds were very nice and the availability to the visitors center and the adjacent facilities was convenient. We attended a presentation at the amphitheater about bears that was fun and informative. There are many hiking trails with various difficulty to choose from. A great place to unwind and relax.

Mid June 2023 reservation for 2 nights. The site was unusable due to standing water in all areas of the site including the parking pad.
I agree with another poster that there is no good spot for a tent on this site anyway.

Lodgepole campground is great overall, unfortunately, we were not able to use site 48 in June of 2023 because snowmelt and rain had left a 4 inch puddle of water on the car pad and some of the site. This site is smaller than its neighbors. It is close to the river, with only one row of sites in between. The loop that it sits on is nice as well, but unfortunately, we were not able to use it.

Location is fantastic- near all the best stuff! The store is right nearby too if you need or forget anything.

Public showers and a lot of amenities in the visitor center were closed. Campsite was pretty nice overall.

Wish there was hookups, or at least a dump station. Unfortunately it was out of service while we were there.
