Bathrooms very dirthy. Park rangers should drive around camp sites more often right around quiet times so they can give warning to campers who use their generators way past the quiet time or that have their music very loud. Pay phones by the store take the money without connecting you.

We stayed at campsite 208. Overall, the campground location is superb. The nearby river noise is very calming. Most trails in the park are accessible from this Lodgepole campground (we only drove to Wolverine to hike to Heather Lake, but it is possible to get there on foot).

Now, about campsite 208. It is surrounded by a road, so if many cars drive around, a bit of dust is in the air. However, we experienced this just once in the three nights we stayed there. The restroom (WC) is close by, as well as a water source. My only real concern is the bear box. It is located pretty much in the center of the campsite, out in the open with no shade during the day (in contrast to all the other campsites around us). It's worth mentioning that when we came back from a day hike, the inside of the bear box felt like a sauna. Bananas went from semi-green to ripe with black in just one day, despite the highest temperature being 70°F.

This is our favorite camping spot in the SNP. The location is excellent with lots of hiking trails from camp. Also flush toilets, warm showers, and a grocery store with a cafe. I believe due to COVID, the showers, nature center, and cafe were closed. However, the interpretative ranger hosted an informative show at the outdoor amphitheatre, which the kiddies like.

Wonderful park. You never get tired of experiencing the bid trees. Suggest you visit all Sequoia groves.
