My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Sequoia NP. Many hiking & sightseeing opportunities. Enjoyed staying at Lodgepole campground. The restrooms were clean but do need to be updated. Appreciated the everyday park ranger presence in the campground. Many thanks to the National Park Service in providing yet another enjoyable and safe park visit.

The campground was really pretty. Some of the campsites are right next to each other which doesnt allow for much privacy. We stayed in site 183 and had plenty of room with trees on either side, so it didnt feel like we were sharing our space with neighboring campers. Tokopah Falls trailhead was right around the corner from our site which was perfect as this was the hike I wanted to go on with my 12- and 15-year-old (who typically complain when I take them hiking). They took their time but didnt complain once. It was a beautiful, easy hike along the river, amongst gorgeous trees, and ends at a scenic Mountain View with a waterfall and rocky terrain. People were playing in the river along the way and jumping in the pools of water at the end.One of the downsides of the campground was the bathrooms. It was right in the middle of my loop, but it was annoying to get to and disgusting. Im not one to complain (honestly, I camp with pit toilets all the time) and this bathroom had flush toliets, so I thought that was a plus. Unfortunately, they were very poorly maintained. I think all the toilet paper in the park was on the floors and flowing out of the trash cans. It looked like kids were going to the bathroom all over the floor. Needless to say, my more private campsite came in handy due to this issue. Not a deal breaker, but the campground should maintain their cleanliness.Overall, I would stay here again with the right spot and a roll of toilet paper!!

One of my favorite campgrounds we've ever stayed at. Bathrooms were clean, sites were often shaded, and there was plenty of privacy. The proximity of the river and some fantastic hiking trails was perfect. It was also convenient to have a marketplace and various food options nearby. What an incredibly beautiful area and a fantastic place to pitch a tent!

This location provided an excellent experience for us. We were walking distance from both the hiking trail and the river. The restrooms were clean and convenient. Our campground was very secluded and off to the side. We knew this park was busy and packed, but the one disadvantage was that our camping neighbors did not observe quiet hours and there were several individuals walking across our site. Besides that we had a great stay and will revisit again.

We loved this location. It was very private and offered a lot of room. We were able to get a 10x9 tent comfortably here. The fire pit was one of the bigger, round metal pits. We did not see any bear during our three nights there. There was a little bit of a walk to the bathroom. The bathroom accessible for this area when we first arrived was pretty bad. There was no toilet paper and only two of the four stalls were functional. They were cleaned on our second day there. Other than that I would definitely come back to this site again.

As opposed to State and County Parks, National Parks are generally not very supportive of RVs, as they want everyone to take in the wilderness experience, not holed up in their RV. No hook-ups. Not a problem as I can live without them. The problem that I had recently at both Azalea and Lodgepole campgrounds, both require reservations, is that the website for booking shows a site picture asd well as info on the driveway length but give no accurate info on the site levelness. Both sites I selected proved to be very out of level, one requiring 30 leveling blocks to get a livable near level and at (campground full) Lodgepole where no amount of blocks would get me close to level and the campground was abandoned. The problem with their website is that the driveway levelness is generic and not accurate. I complained to the park attendant, who stated that they need to update their website but had no time to do so. I expect better from our National Parks.

This site (183) was an amazing campsite. Its kinda surrounded by dead trees, so you get some privacy. Not too far from the bathroom either. As for the new place in general- its a decent spot, bathrooms are kinda dirty though so just be aware.

Love this campground. It is well kept and the sites are really nice. The nightly ranger talks were great and it is close to trailheads and the park shuttle stops there. Docked it 1 star because the showers were closed.

Besides the fire season restrictions on grills, we could not have asked for a better Sequoia experience. Lodgepole is the perfect campground. Our site was very accessible but felt very private. It was a hot and buggy couple of nights, but the river that ran through camp was a perfect way to cool down. It was also great to be within an hour or so hike down to the Sherman tree, so we didnt have to deal with parking. And since we were tired from the hike, we took a quick free shuttle back up to Lodgepole. So easy!

Amazing campground! Had a great site tucked right up in the trees (though you can still see the other campers around you). You can take hikes starting right at the campground - we did the hike to Tokopah Falls and it was beautiful. Campground has grocery store, which was convenient for picking up food when we wanted to cook, and a restaurant for when we didn't want to cook! It also had showers and laundry. The bathrooms in the campground had running water but no soap (due to bears) so make sure to pack your own soap and hand towels. Had a great time in this campground and Kings Canyon/Sequoia!

Loved this campground! Perfect location to take the shuttle from, near the store and showers. Our campsite was great, good size and not super close to neighbors, which is always something we are looking for! Clean restrooms and well kept sites. Will come back!

Would like to see more Ranger programs during the daytime. It was good having more Ranger programs at night. I understand that the Ranger programs can be limited due to financial reasons.
