The campground is beautiful. Since the trees are primarily pines, there is not a lot of shade tho. The RV spots are quite close and pretty tight. There are flush toilets in each separate section of the campground. Each spot gets a picnic table and a fire ring. Overall a beautiful place to camp.

I cant say enough good things about Lodgepole! All the rangers were so friendly! The campground itself is absolutely amazing, bathrooms clean, showers clean. The bear boxes are a great size. I fit my 52QT Rtic cooler and could have fit another one easily and still had extra space! Remember water shoes!

Great location for star gazing. No (or little) trees obstructing the view. Also direct access to shuttle buses, making this a great spot to plan your activities from.

Lodgepole was vibrant with active people and we found it to be well run.

Wish the showers were open! It would have made for a fantastic trip if we didnt have to live in our sweat the whole weekend.

Lodgepole is a great campground for Sequoia first timers. We were pleasantly surprised at the clean bathrooms and flushable toilets, as well as the abundance of bear lockers. The marketplace had everything you could ever need! We treated ourselves to a small bottle of Makers Mark for our last night. Keep in mind that if you camp over the weekend, you're most likely going to get some rowdy groups. Biggest pro: how conveniently located this campground is to many of the Sequoia trails and landmarks. Biggest con: some of the clientele and all the running generators. But overall great experience and would stay here again.

Lodgepole is amazing! I think tent camping is easiest at Lodgepole as some of the spots are pretty tight. The staff is friendly, helpful and present. The bathrooms are clean. Be sure to use the bear boxes as bears like Lodgepole as well as humans. The beauty that surrounds the campground is breathtaking with wildlife, trees, mountains and water abundant. There are many trail heads right from the campground for hikers, these trails offer breathtaking sites and unique surprises. If you want to stay close to camp you can hike an easy trail close to the water or for those who want to be more challenged head right out of lodgepole for an overnighter up in the higher elevations (permits required for overnighters). When Covid isn't around shuttles loop around the more popular destinations in Sequioa like the General Sherman Tree or the Walk of the Giants. If you are a nature lover this is a must do trip.
