One of my favorite parks to visit, hiking from Lodgepole to Moro Rock is a unique experience.

This is a really awesome campground. Our campsite was by the river, but there wasn't much flow so it wasn't quite what I had imagined. The campsite itself was really nice though, we could have a fire and it was a few minutes walk to the toilet block in a neighbouring loop. The visitor centre had good showers, shop, cafe etc, which was really useful. We had planned to walk all the way up the path along the river, but only had time to go a short way along. I would like to go further if we manage to come back here in the future. Really scenic location.

Despite what other reviews said about the campsite (trees down, etc.) we thought it was great. Its a forest! Its 21 miles into the forest! Yes, there are trees down here and there but they have zero impact on your camping. Didnt use any facilities other than the water refill and RV dump station, and they were fine. Wed definitely return. Also, Lodgepole is right near the Market, which has everything (food, clothes, beer, ice, gifts, etc.) . You can walk to it. Bears occasionally at night so adhere to the rules about food storage. Free shuttle takes you to the best locations in the park. Enjoy!! Youre going to love it!

As a National Park destination I expected a lot more from this campground. Trees were down everywhere in the campground, the campsites themselves were small and poorly maintained (damaged picnic tables, etc) and the bathroom facilities were pretty disgusting. The NPS needs to step up its game in Sequoia NP. While one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the national park system, the facilities throughout the park were poorly maintained.

Please plan for a lot of inconveniences. There are no showers, no laundry, no campfires to sit around at night and look up at the beautiful stars. However, the Rangers and their little workshops at the amphitheater are always excellent. And of course the great beauty of the place speaks for itself. We still enjoyed our selves although there were a lot of noisy neighbors talking too loud until about midnight.
