We were in site 70. It doesnt have much shade but has a flat spot for the tent and we had another screen tent to set up over the picnic table. Its at a fork in the road so not super private but the parking is right at the site so you dont have to lug things far and we had 2 small kids so that is nice. One huge downfall was the lack of trees. No place for a hammock and while camping hammocks are my favorite. Another plus was we were very close to the bridge which is a short walk down to the water to swim. So easy to get the kids there and in and out. It was hot during the day 87 so swimming was great. Nights were cold, we could have used more blankets and actually bought one at the camp store. Overall this is my 2nd time at the campground and I like it there.

We stayed 2 nights at lodgepole campground and stayed at site 70, which is a tent only site. If you are looking for a more secluded site, skip this one since it is right on the corner of a fork in the road so there will be traffic from campers on their way in and out. With that being said it is a perfectly placed between 2 restrooms (which both have drinking water fill station). Restrooms are like a 2 min walk. Site was clean, fire ring was nice for cold mornings/nights, tent pad was able to fit 10 person tent, also had a 10x10 canopy which fit within the site. Rangers were nice and welcoming. Had a visitor but that's to be expected in this area. ALWAYS STORE YOUR FOOD, TRASH, AND SCENTED ITEMS IN THE BEAR LOCKERS AT ALL TIMES! All in all a good experience, we stayed at the end of September. Non rain, Temps were H68F/L32F

I've camped a lodgepole camp ground a couple of times and just love it. It's right in the middle of everything and is easily assessable to the tram.

Lodgepole is always great. The showers and the restaurant is closed this year so that was a bummer.
