Great campsite! Its right next to the bathroom and you have a beautiful view of the area since its at the top of the loop/hill. Even though they recommend trying to burn whatever brush you find on the ground, I would still recommend getting some logs from the campground store since all we found around the campsite was kindling. The fire pits dont have a grill, so make sure to bring whatever set up you use to cook over a fire. The bear lockers are big and we were able to fit a 50 can soft sided cooler, 2 standard size carry ons, 1 standard size checked bag, 2 grocery bags of food, trash, 2 small day bags, and there was still more room left if we had more stuff we needed to secure. We went in mid September and it didnt seem very crowded so the park was much more enjoyable than some of the more popular ones.

We spent two nights. Overall everything was really good. The river beside the campground is exceptional and make the place highly attractive. We booked space 129, its close to the restroom and had not much privacy but it was okay.

You never know what facilities and features will be available here. This year, the entire Lodgepole market (including store, food, showers, gift shop) was closed for renovations. Prior years other key facilities have been closed or inoperative. Also, after having used our pop-up tent trailer on the same site for many years, the rangers came by and said the site didn't allow it. They "graciously" didn't force us to leave since we only had one more night on or stay, but this was a huge change in policy as our tent trailer has always been allowed as the "vehicle" for our site - parked on the parking spot. While the Sequoia area is wonderful, the management of it has gone downhill in the last 10 to 20 years.

Location, site and beauty were 5 stars. But lack of services knocked off a few stars. Showers/Laundry were closed for drought (which was more understandable); but having the visitor center at Lodgepole closed was disappointing. Also, every site said "full" but apparently either no-shows were not enforced, or the rangers had no interest in managing same day reservations because there were LOTS of empty sites labeled full.

Great location in Sequoia National park. Close to a creek and hiking trails. Free shuttle bus directly from a campground. Store that has everything you need for your stay. On the other hand, our site was not cleaned and restrooms are very outdated. Showers and laundry facility closed for a season (don't know why)

Beautiful weather in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Our trip had a bit of rain the first day and a little the second day, but it didn't stop the fun or the enthusiasm! Can't wait to go back again : )

Great, clean campground. Center location to all that is in Sequoia with a shuttle to take you to the big destinations most want to see.

Very nice camp site in the tent only area. Loved the shuttles.

The campground was clean, quiet, and perfectly situated near trails and various other attractions. My only regret is not having more time in Sequoia National Park. It was a remarkably beautiful and serene place.
