Great campground when visiting Sequoia, super accessible and close to showers, toilets and a great store with hot food. The campground was full and the spaces were closer together than other campgrounds weve visited but it's clean and friendly and a great spot to do lots of trails and adventuring!

Great spot! Centrally located in the park, nice tree cover and bathroom is easily accessible from anywhere

It’s a beautiful campground and we love being right in the river. Too bad the flow is so low right now with the drought but it’s still beautiful. Nice having the market on site & it’s only a few miles from General Sherman grove.

I was very disappointed that the dump station in Lodgepole CG was out of service. I saw several pieces of heavy equipment parked on the site and evidence that work had started but I saw no work taking place in the 4 days that I was there. I also observed broken fixtures in one of the rest rooms that had obviously been that way for awhile.

I don’t understand why it was considered unsafe due to covid for the Visitor Center & Museum to open, while the campground store remained open.

I don’t understand why the website and the sign at the kiosk both showed that the campground was completely full. I never saw it more than 1/2 to 2/3 full. I’m sure there were people who would have loved to have an opportunity for a 1st come 1st served site.

I am very thankful that this special place was set aside as a National Park for all to enjoy. I wish it were better managed and that my tax $ were better spent.

Indeed all a good blessing to visit and stay at Lodgepole campground. Rangers were exceptionally kind hearted, friendly and knowledgeable. Overall setting was busy yet accommodating and well managed.

We had a great time in new Taxa Mantis travel trailer. The RV spots are small, no hookups, but there is a dump station and available water refill near the campsite entrance. There is major road construction on Generals Highway in Kings Canyon National Park. If you are traveling from Fresno just know that you could be potentially be delayed an hour or more waiting for a pilot car.
