We stayed here last year in 2023 and it was an amazing experience. Wish I could say the same for this year, the sites themselves were good but the bathrooms were horrific. I was on a cross country trip, stayed at many campgrounds and by far this one had the worst bathrooms, its not even close. There was toilet paper all on the floor, even what seemed like poop stains smeared on some places of the walls. I even recall seeing toilet paper on a urinal!! We pulled in around noon and the next day when we left around noon the bathrooms were exactly the same, no one even bothered to clean them. At our loop only one stall for the guys was not clogged up. I could hear everyone complaining and saying the same thing that they had never seen such poor maintenance.

Campground was well spaced out, we had an amazing campsite that nestled up into the hillside. The bathrooms were "clean" as far as 6500' bathrooms go, the sink needed replacing but worked fine, soap in the dispenser, and plenty of toilet paper. One negative had nothing to do with Rec.gov is that the showers weren't operating. We came after Sept 10th which ended the restaurant and shower season. But we knew it ahead of time and all was good. it is a great location to the forest with the river running through it. We took our granddaughter (2) on her first campout and she LOVED IT!! Two thumbs up!

Both sites 044 and 176 were great.

This was my family's 1st time going to the sequoias and we will definitely do it again. It is a hidden treasure at the top the the mountain. The park rangers were very informative and answered all of my kids questions. The staff are very friendly. Camping was very peaceful and allowed my kids to explore the wilderness. It was a beautiful escape from city life.

Nice secluded tent site with flush bathrooms that were clean. Bear boxes were large enough for all of our things. Right near the Topokah hiking trail as well!
