We were so spoiled with this campsite. This was our first time at Sequoia and we got so lucky to get this campsite. It feels secluded, but is close to the market, visitor center, and shuttle stop. It is also near some of the main attractions of Sequoia and other amazing trails! We are already planning our trip back and will only stay at Lodgepole!

Loved the campground. Somewhat close together but still a peaceful experience

Great spot, had no problems during our one night stay. Had a nice view of the river!

The campground was full and there were a lot of people visiting the area, yet the visitor center was closed, it was not clear where to find a ranger or information, or where to find internet. There was no one to ask for help or information other than the guy who was cleaning the bathroom - who WAS very helpful

Bathrooms were pretty dirty and the campsites were very close together. Otherwise it was okay.

Toilets were a disgrace. Showers were closed for the season with no warning. Tonnes of bear activity. We might as well have been wild camping.

Many hiking trails and much wildlife viewing while we were there.

Last week of August and school was mostly back in session and the campground was blissfully free of generators! The sound of silence was golden compared to our previous stays there.

This old growth forest is one of last ones on Earth. It's a sacred place, we had a wonderful experience as a family. It's important to keep the forest as undisturbed as possible.
