Great, clean and roomy campsite and campground; well maintained. Beautiful location and national park, highly recommend to all and plan to be a return visitor.

The campground was fantastic located directly in the nature. Trails start directly from there. Wild animaly (deers, etc... ) came directly to the campground. Only few sites guarantee private character.

The restrooms were dirty and on top of that the nearest restroom was like a 5 min walk from the campsites. This camping experience was not fun at all. Won't be returning to Lodgepole!

Our actual campsite was amazing -- on the outer perimeter so not a lot of noise from other campsites. Gorgeous views of the night sky while still having a little shade in the day. Easy access in and out. Ample room in the bear locker. Our only was complaint that the nearby bathroom was closed down (presumably for the season?) so we had to walk or drive to the one central bathroom facility that was open for the entire complex. That bathroom was actually great, it was just a bit too far for a 3am walk when nature called or you wanted to easily dump dish water. Ranger was very friendly and offered great hiking advice. Will return!

Nice tidy campground. My only complaint is the restrooms were closed inside the campground loops, you had to go to the trailhead restrooms which ends up being a 5 minute walk from our campsite.

Wish the showers and public bathrooms during the summer were open.

The only thing that I'm not very happy is someone don't follow the quite hour policy. It would be better if the rangers can check this a little bit

Great place the camp. Close to the river and bus shuttle service to Giant Forest Museum, General Sherman Tree, and Wolverton within walking distance. Planning to revisit shortly.

All around great place, I've been coming here for decades and to Lodgepole like clockwork for the last 8 years every September. The only thing that's a bit disappointing to see is how many trees have died off, I believe largely as a result of invasive bark beetles. It results in lots of firewood to be had but it also means for tent campers there's less cover than there once was. This feeling is likely exacerbated by the fact that we've been taking the same 2 or 3 exact camping spots for 8~9 years running so you become quite attuned to how it looks, anything changes and it's very apparent. All the same, great place...you won't regret coming.
