I had made a reservation for the campground but the night we were supposed to arrive, it started to pour rain. We just canceled and went to the hotel instead.

Parking was beautiful with a lot of shade. Near somehow to tunnel view and museum. Cons: no gas station near by, showers were closed for the season which it was a huge inconvenience for all of the peiple staying on the camground..Store doesn't have much variety and kings canyon it's very far from this campground.

Very relaxing and quiet. Lots of really great sites. Ours was a little bit too sloped (136). Bathrooms were OK.Forest sights, sounds and smells were amazing. Trees were amazing!

We thought the news said the park was closed so we never got a refund and didn’t show up 😢

Campground is way too crowded. Campers side by side. Snoring from neighbor kept us up.

Last August, after doing a service trip in Yosemite, my husband and I spent a few days camping in Sequoia National Park. The park was a wonderful experience for us but I cannot say the same for the camping. The smoke from the campsites was intolerable. I found myself physically ill at times. While I understand that campfires are a part of the camping experience, in a densely populated area like the campground, the smoke was horrendous. I would suggest that the campground offer a smoke free area for those campers who elect not to have a fire, much like the smoke free areas in the early days of cigarette smoke free zones! While in the park, I listened to an excellent talk concerning the air quality in the park and how the bus system had helped improve the air quality. The campground should work on improving the air quality. It was sad that the beauty of those magnificent trees was overshadowed by the excessive smoke in the campground.
