Overall, great campground and great park. Giving lower rating, however, due to extremely poor bathroom conditions and general lack of cleanliness in the park. Ive visited over 20 national parks and the facilities here were simply unacceptable. No one seemed to care to clean the bathrooms and trash cans throughout the park were overflowing (even with active black bear sightings). Additionally, there were some park employees staying near us in the administrative sites that were driving aggressively through the campground, resulting in several other campers making comments about safety.

Beautiful campground alongside a creek. Flushing toilets. Amazing camp store with everything you need, including a cafe if you don't want to cook. Go on the Tokopah falls hike if you can. It starts in the campground. Only con is the pesky yellow jackets that co.e out anytime food is around.

As always the scenery was amazing. Lodgepole is a gorgeous campground. This visit, unlike previous ones, the market and the visitor’s center were closed. We did not know that until we arrived. Which was not a great surprise. Also, the restrooms in our loop were in bad shape. The missing amenities and poor restroom conditions made this trip not quite as amazing as it has been for us.

We stayed here 5 nights, the site was on one of the ends and was big and private. Having the river and hikes starting there is nice.
The restrooms need improvement and more cleaning, no showers and no Verizon coverage.
To get there drive if you can skip Three rivers do it, the curves are serious.
