We put together 3 nights by scoring 3 separate campsites through Recreation.gov. Alerts helped. The three sites were all in the upper loop and were all fine. It gets quieter toward the end of the loop so 121 was our quietest, 77 our noisiest and 94 in between. However, campers were good about observing quiet hours from 10pm-6am. We did the hike to Gen.Sherman tree and hardly saw anyone until we got close. After hikes we appreciated the plunge pool in the stream that runs through the campground. A cup of coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the market was another welcome treat.

Overall the visit was fantastic. Takopah Falls hike was amazing. It was fun warding off the bears nightly. I was a bit surprised with all the staff driving around in the trucks that the camp site had lots of trash and ash in the fire pits and the bathrooms weren't cleaned often enough.

Nice site but the group next to us partied until 1am and all day the next day. Loud music and cackling with no respect to the quiet hours.

This site is very small and has very little shade despite the description saying it's full shade. A large tree was cut down on this site that resulted in no shade. Please update the description so that it does not mislead the next camper. Most of these sites are very small. No space for the kids to play in. Will not fit 2 tents with reasonable space and tents are about 10 feet from the loop driveway.

It's pretty well located, just 7min away from Sherman Tree. Could be a little tricky to find if you get there late and don't have a map.

Will come back to this campground! Its become one of my favorite campsites. The campground is located right next to a river/creek, we can hear soothing water sounds all around. A beautiful hike is conveniently located by the creek, no drive needed. Such a pleasant experience. Note that the loops/site numbers might be a little confusing to find even with a campsite map, so I recommend arriving before dark
