The rangers were all superb. The facilities were top notch. This is the best campground we have been to on the West Coast!

So, we didn’t expect snow. Only 8 campsites available because all other campgrounds closed down for the season. Super excited to get one of the 8 campsites for a few days, got there and tons of snow
So much for tent camping - slept in the back of the SUV in 20 degree weather. It was really beautiful however. And cold. The trees were magnificent and only four of the other campsites were occupied for a day or so because the rest of the reserved spaces were abandoned by those not crazy enough to camp in the snow. Put everything in the bear box but alas no bears. I was hoping to see one. It was so nice to be there when there were very few others around. The campsites are pretty open and close together so when there’s no snow and more people about, there won’t be much privacy. Bathrooms close by and trails were everywhere

Great campground. Clean and adequate facilities. Close to the river for a cool down. Centrally located in the park. We attended the evening "campfire story" with the ranger and that wad great as well. The showers at Lodgepole are closed for 2022, so be prepared for that.

Everything was great like other times, only difference was that there is a huge difference in the water level, sadly the lack of rain/snow is affecting this wonder natural environment that God created, hopefully we'll get a better winter this season.I just want to share two little details that I noticed and that may the experience at this campsite be better, one is that the bathroom lights are off most of the night, they turn on only after mid night, the timer needs to be set up correctly, the other one is that when I was coming back from hiking I saw a ranger opening my food storage, he said he was putting something that he found on the table, but we didn't leave anything out of the storage box, and even if we did, he doesn't have the right to open it while nobody is present I don't know if there is any law that allow him to do it, but I don't think is correct. anyway, not a big deal, everything else was perfect. Thank you for keeping this beautiful park in a great natural condition.

Very good campground, sleeping with the sound of flowing river is priceless. The only thing that I didn't understand why the restroom's lights turn on after 11 pm, other than that it was very beautiful, the store and visitor center were closed during my visit. Very well located in the heart of all attractions.
