I very much enjoyed my campsite by the river. It was beautiful and very relaxing listening to the water. walkingon the big trees trail was absolutely amazing and the Rangers were very helpful.. I will definitely camp there again,( but it might be a little closer to the bathroom next time)

Great campground along the river. At it's altitude, we could have a camp fire! Well stocked market and restaurant are very close.

Site 42 was better then expected , yes its a walk to site , but if your prepared for that , its not too bad , for the site itself , we had a lot of space enough for two 6 person tents, terrain is a little rocky but we didnt mind it , the river front is a beautiful view , and the trees nearby offered a good amount of shade.

The campground is centrally located and close to a couple good trails, but really needs to be refreshed. The bathroom nearest to us was not working and the next closest bathroom was in pretty bad shape. Our picnic table look like it mightve been from the 1970s. Our walk-in site had pros and cons. On one hand, it was pretty close to the river and we could easily sit by the river. On the other, we walked in a decent distance only to find that the view from our picnic table was a big parking lot. That seemed very strange for a walk-in site, which I usually would expect to be a little farther away from parking.

You do have to walk a bit from the parking spot to the campground so be ready for that. The site is nice and the stream that runs next to the site is a huge bonus!

Great location, hot showers available, bring some quarters. Pay attention to the sites marked walk to, quite a walking distance, beautiful by the river though

We stayed at lodgepole for two nights at site 042. The walk from the parking spot to our site was kind of long but we were expecting that already. Bathrooms were clean and the market came in handy. People were swimming in the river but a ranger advised against that and suggested Hume Lake as a safer option. Overall we had a wonderful time and plan to return next summer.

Our visit was an awesome experience, the weather was perfect. No crowds and we encountered a few bears too. Sequoia National Park Lodgepole campground is my favorite place to go camping. No matter how many times we visit, We are always mesmerized by the beautiful and gigantic sequoias. It was a Great experience.

Campsites 40 and 42 are both right on the river and great spots. Bathroom is close, 40 has its own waterspout.Rangers left a lovely fruit basket for us, and when I complained that the toilet paper dispenser wasn't quick enough, they installed a new one within 5 minutes.

Loved the campgrounds and the Nature talks at night in the Amphitheatre. Stay next to the river if possible. Be careful of bears as they are frequent visitors to the campgrounds. Make sure to use the Bear Boxes for your food and any other items that are scented and you will be fine.

Lodgepole campground is my familys favorite campground in our favorite National Park which is Sequoia National Park. We always camp riverside and there so many places go hiking. Also we love being in nature but close to showers and store so we can stay clean and stock up with food and drink. I highly recommend Lodgepole campground, its a beautiful campground. Also I love the size of the campsites because theyre usually big, which makes camping more enjoyable.
