Site 102 was very pleasant. I give it a 4 out of 5. It is a hike up to your site so heads up. You get the morning sun through the early afternoon. Bear box does get a bit of shade not a lot though. You get a nice area to put up a hammock next to a giant boulder. You also have a nice view from atop of the river. Due to hiking up, it did feel away from your other campers. Bathrooms are nearby but it did not have the usual outside sink. Trash is further away. Water is next to the bathrooms. Tent area was really big. Walk up to site has some small rocks in the middle so be very careful tripping. Grill on firepit was broken. Had to get creative in order to grill over an open flame. Bear box does jam a bit. Both the grill and bear box issue was reported to the ranger, but confirmed many sites have the same issue. The firepit has about 4 large stones to sit on so that made it very cozy.

We loved site 102! It's a "walk to" site which meant we had to make quite a few trips back and forth from the car to the campsite. It's also up a slight sandy/rocky slope- so it's not a great one if you have physical ailments or maybe even small kids. Otherwise- this site was a dream. Because it's a walk to site, it's up and set off from the road- quite and private. Surrounded by big boulders and trees. The creek is across the road on the other side but we could hear it all night. The bathrooms were a short walk (no soap, cold water), a little bit further walk to the trash. The trailhead to Tokopah Falls was a short distance and made for a perfect early morning hike. The Lodgepole market was nearby- a bit pricey for ice and other essentials though.

We plan a yearly camping trip to Sequoia and Lodgepole is our go to campsite. Highly recommended!

I would like a refund in this reservation. I believe site 102 should not even be available for camping. It is imposible to fit 6 there and it is very poorly maintained.

There was nobody at the entrance and when there was, he wanted me yo check in even if i was trying to explain how crapy the site was.

Could you please refund my money on this reservation as I never used the site.

Thank you!
