Camped there early October. It was quiet and peaceful. Campsites are close to each other but were lucky with our neighbors (maybe the rainy evening/night helped too).

Beautiful spot! Parking is close by. Scenic night sky visible and one can hear the creek clouds by. One of the most beautiful spots we had!

Had a great time at a great site! Make sure to reserve your cave tickets two months in advance. Don't be like me and do it last minute. I always love camping by the river.

Great location - walking distance to the site is minimal, youre within walking distance of the Lodgepole Market where hot showers, laundry facility, souvenirs, light groceries, and a hot meal are all available. Site 38 is near the river with excellent view of the river and mountains at sunrise. Restrooms were clean and theres water available for cooking/cleaning close by.

It's a really beautiful campground just in the middle of Canyons and forests. We loved our stay! Just note, that the visitor center at the campground is closed und this seasons there are no showers due to the draught. And also note that using the bear boxes is really important, one night we had two bears walking just next to our tent. I would definitely recommend a visit and bring time to do a hike!

Amazing spots right in the middle of most great views, rangers are very helpful there taking care of camp grounds for any wild life sighting, makes you feel comfortable, the camp has its own market that sells most of your needs, they even have showers for 1 dll but they were closed due to covid-19, other than that its a great place each spot has its own parking, picnic bench, own grill but for forest safety take your own propane grill, closed to a small river it relaxes you even more , over all I extreamly recommend this spot best camping grown will definitely book again spot 60-38 its the best

rangers were extremely helpful. Gave us a tip for a excellent day in the redwoods. The congress trail was amazing, never knew that there were that many huge giant redwoods. See you again soon!

Great site next to the river! Limited shade in the middle of the day. The site is pretty close to the one next to it but due to covid no one was in that site or any of the others around us and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Lots of great trails out of this campground and it was also nice to have the visitors center and store nearby. Would stay again!
