It is a walk in site. Unfortunately you do have to walk through your neighbors site the get to 55 and they are pretty close together, and it is at the end. But its right next to the river which is nice to hear. Or in summertime nice to soak in. I went in fall, which being that close to the river also makes it a lot colder so be aware of that. Its close to the small store. Which does have showers, laundry and a cafe. Campground is close to tons of hiking trails and to the general sherman trails.

Beautiful campground, however there was few rangers on staff to ask questions about which supplies to lock up in bear lockers, and bathrooms and garbages were unkept.

This site was good as it was by the river and pretty close to the market which had the showers. But no separation from site 54 and 53, just one giant lot. 55 also furthest walk from your designated parking than 52, 53, and 54. But being the furthest was nice too so you dont get bothered by other people accessing their cars. I still prefer 55 the most since its only directly next to site 54, not other sites. I have a walkthrough on tiktok of these sites if you want a better look: just look up nxmarian lodgepole campground

Amazing site located right next to the river and general store. Almost caught a trout right next to the site

Excellent trip, friendly rangers, free shuttles. Campsites clean

Beautiful campsite!Highly recommend this 'walk-in' site that is right by the stream; the walk is very short and means you are not right on the road, as the drive-in sites are. Trees meant there were some dry spots even when it rained- truly gorgeous (though of course a busy campground in August).

Showers shut down ??????? Why, store was still open with 15 people in line at a time. Otherwise we loved it

We were lucky that the 4 campsites next to us were empty. They were SO close together that had they been occupied, we would have been waaaaay to close to other campers--like 15 feet. What a beautiful spot though.

Campsite was amazing. The service and attitude of the rangers and store employees were amazing. Coming back in two weeks. Covid related precautions were well made and the campsite was nice and far fromeach other.
